Understanding Ayurveda


Ayurveda, which translates to "the science of life," views each individual as a unique combination of the five elements - space, air, fire, water, and earth, known as doshas. These doshas, namely Vata, Pitta, and Kapha, govern various physical and emotional aspects of our being. An individual's constitution, or Prakriti, is determined by the predominant dosha or doshas within them. Vikruti is the current expression of the doshas.
