Ayurvedic Ginger Thyme Lemonade Recipe



Ingredients:


  • 2 -4 teaspoons grated ginger

  • 8 tablespoons fresh squeezed lemon juice

  • 2-3 teaspoons coconut sugar

  • 2 cups soda water

  • Fresh mint Leaves (Pudina)

  • Lemon slices to garnish


Instructions:


  1. Place the grated gingerroot and lemon juice in a stainless steel (or similar) saucepan. Allow it to sit for a few minutes.

  2. Add the coconut sugar and part of the water to the ginger and lemon in the saucepan.

  3. Bring it to a boil, lower the heat and simmer for about two minutes or until the coconut sugar is dissolved..

  4. Remove the pan from the heat. Allow it to return to room temperature.

  5. Once cooled, pour the concentrated lemon-ginger concoction into four glasses and top with the remaining soda water.

  6. Garnish with a slice of lemon and a sprig of mint.

  7. Serve the fresh Ayurvedic Ginger Lemonade on a hot summer afternoon as a refreshing treat.
