Pumpkin Spice Smoothie Recipe Below! I do NOT like pumpkin and I LOVED this drink/meal!

Here’s a shout out to all the plant-based people in our crowd: Enjoy this Pumpkin Spice Smoothie recipe from our book Easy Healing Drinks from the Wisdom of Ayurveda:

1 3/4 cup fresh or canned pumpkin
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 1/2 tsp pumpkin spice blend
(1t Cinnamon, 1/4t Ginger, 1/8t nutmeg, 1/16t clove & 1/16t allspice)
1 Tbsp coconut sugar or raw honey
2 Tbsp raw pumpkin seeds soaked overnight in 1 cup warm salt water & 1/2 tsp mineral salt

Soak seeds overnight, discard water This process improves mineral absorption. Heat the pumpkin, milk and spice blend until warm. Blend this with soaked seeds until smooth. Serve warm or room temperature. Calms Vata and Pitta, neutral for Kapha.

Supports mucous membranes, muscle, reproductive system, immunity, laxative.
